Additional costs of studying and staying in Australia

Textbooks

Students studying in the English language program, depending on the program of study, may need to purchase a textbook for the program and the cost is approximately $50 AUD.

For formal programs please refer to the individual program sheets for any additional costs involved in the program.

Other costs

Establishment: It is recommended that students have at least $1,500 AUD on arrival in Queensland to cover any extra items such extra clothes, four weeks rent, household goods, rental bond (if required) and some service connection fees.

Living expenses

Transport, entertainment, refreshments and personal needs may cost up to $50 AUD per week.

It is recommended that students budget for living costs above their tuition fees. For example students should budget $15,000 AUD for a one year program.
