Certificate I in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations) - Deckhand.
Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations) - Coxswain and Marine Radio.
Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 3) - MED 3 Program.
Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 2) - MED 2 Program.
Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations) - Master Class 5 / Skipper Grade 3.

Certificate I in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations) - Deckhand
An entry-level course designed to meet the training requirements for general purpose hands on small commercial vessels.

Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations) - Coxswain
This course provides students with the required skills and knowledge to safely operate small vessels. Students who have acquired the appropriate sea time, subject to final assessment by the State Marine Authority, may apply for a Certificate of Competency.

Career opportunities: Upon meeting Marine Safety Queensland (MSQ) requirements students could work as Coxswains on board commercial and fishing vessels in state survey.
Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 3) - MED 3 Program
This program is based on the pre-requisite required by Maritime Safety Queensland for obtaining a marine qualification as a Marine Engine Driver Grade 3 which allows you to work as an engineer on board commercial vessels with a propulsion power less than 250KW or 500KW for some inshore conditions (smooth and partially smooth).

Career opportunities: Upon meeting the Maritime Safety Queensland requirements and obtaining the relevant Certificate of Competency MED3, you are licensed to take charge of the machinery that does not exceed 250KW or 500KW for some inshore conditions (smooth and partially smooth waters).
Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 2) - MED 2 Program
This course provides the required skills and knowledge to enable persons who have acquired the appropriate sea time, subject to final assessment by the State Marine Authority and the issue of a Certificate of Competency, to take charge of the machinery aboard a seagoing vessel where the output of the main propulsion machinery does not exceed 750kW.

Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations - Master Class 5) - Master Class 5 / Skipper Grade 3
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge required in attaining a National Standards for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) Certificate of Competency of Master Class V/Skipper Grade III. Students who acquire competency in the course and meet the State Marine Authority sea time and other requirements may apply to the Authority for oral assessment in the appropriate certificate.
