Flexible study options
Flexible study provides you with more choices when determining what program of study to undertake. Flexible learning incorporates a number of delivery methods utilising modern technology and methods of learning. In some programs students can enrol and begin study at any time, and most programs allow an individual pace of study.
Study options vary between programs but may include:

Workbooks and study guides which can be worked on anywhere, anytime.

Online learning -the use of an online learning management system to complete your studies. This incorporates program materials, communication portals, forums, live chat sessions and the submission of assessment electronically.

Videoconferencing and videostreaming.

Tutorials and workshops delivered on campus.

Training and assessment in the workplace for employees.

Providing gap training to help clients gain industry accepted qualifications.

Research and Information Centres
Wide Bay Institute of TAFE has Research and information centres on each campus. These centres house banks of computers that allow students to study at times that suit them and have the support of fully trained librarian staff. They are also home to our vast library of resources to assist you with your studies.
Regional Institute Programs
TAFE QLD Regional Institutes have recently started working together in an effort to offer more programs and study options to people outside of metropolitan Queensland.
