Wide Bay Institute of TAFE

Wide Bay Institute of TAFE have trained career counsellors on each campus to help you make the important decision around your career. They can also help you with preparations for finding a job. Call 1300 656 188 to make an appointment.

State Government assistance

The Queensland Government has a range of initiatives to help people get into the workforce. Please visit the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations website for more information.

Commonwealth Government assistance

Centrelink is often the first point of contact for students and unemployed people seeking information about education and training, financial assistance while studying and employment assistance.
More information can be obtained by visiting a Centrelink office or phoning 13 10 21 to make an appointment to talk to a Customer Service Officer. There are more than 400 Centrelink offices around Australia.

Job network agencies

Job Networks are a national network of private and community organisations dedicated to finding jobs for unemployed people, particularly the long term unemployed.
