Flexible study options
When it comes to learning the WideBay TAFE understands that not everyone can attend full-time studies at a college. The Institute therefore offers a range of study options that make it possible for just about anyone in any situation to undertake studies.
One of WideBay TAFE's major advantages is its flexibility. Study and training are available:
- full-time or part-time
- on campus
- online, by distance
- in the workplace.
We can also tailor a combination of these modes of delivery (often referred to as 'blended learning'). Whether you are an individual or an organisation, flexibility with WideBay TAFE extends to customised programs and timetables to suit you and your lifestyle.
Enrolment times throughout the year can vary, depending on the study options available for specific programs.
Research and information centres
"Flexible Delivery" means students can complete studies at home, in the workplace or at college. Self-paced learning also allows students to progress through their courses at a pace that suits them. Research and information centres are set up for students to study at times that suit and a full-time tutor is on hand to lend assistance. View a list of courses available through the Research and Information Centres.
Competency-based training
Competency-based training (CBT) is an approach to vocational education and training that places emphasis on what a person can do in the workplace as a result of completing a program of training.
