Pathways to university
We have built partnerships with many universities to give you more options for further study.
The diagram below shows how you can progress through and around higher education in a different way to the traditional school to TAFE or school to university route. This is how you might move from school to TAFE to university or from school to university to TAFE.

Recognition of prior learning is a feature of the new framework where your knowledge and experience counts and may reduce the completion time of a program of study.
Australian Qualification Framework pathways

Our links with university may give you options such as:
- entering a university degree program after completing a diploma without reapplying through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC)
- enrolling in a dual or triple award program that allows you to study concurrently at WideBay TAFE and at a university, or complete some qualifications at WideBay TAFE and then go on to study at university to finish a degree
- acquiring multiple qualifications at diploma and degree levels.
Through recognition of prior learning, this linking, or articulation, creates a seemless pathway to higher qualifications.
