WideBay TAFE offers a range of high quality education programs and is an ideal location for students to undertake study while enjoying an active and safe lifestyle.

WideBay TAFE is the largest and most established provider of education and training in the Wide Bay Region. WideBay TAFE is a government training organisation, and as part of the TAFE Queensland network, is able to draw upon the vast experience and resources of Queensland's largest training organisation.

Our modern facilities combined with our highly qualified and experienced staff means you will be provided with the skills and knowledge that will prepare you for university or the workforce. You will receive practical education and training of the highest standard while studying at WideBay TAFE, ensuring you are on your way to the successful future you deserve.

WideBay TAFE is registered to deliver over 300 courses and enrols approximately 10,000 students each year.

Not only are TAFE Diploma courses an excellent pathway to University, but WideBay TAFE also offers several "Diploma to University degree" programs.

When you successfully complete your studies at WideBay TAFE, you will receive one of the following qualifications:

All training programs are delivered in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework, and are recognised Australia-wide. In fact, WideBay TAFE was the first Queensland Institute to achieve full AQTF compliance.

As demonstrated by the Institute's success in providing BIG W's certificate training nationally, WideBay TAFE has the expertise and infrastructure to manage and deliver training programs for major corporations, Australia-wide.

And, apart from the number of Training Awards and Achievements, Wide Bay Institute of TAFE is also registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS - Provider Code: 02013A), under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act).

WideBay TAFE as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

A training organisation must be registered if it wants to issue Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications in the Vocational Education and Training sector and to deliver the associated training and/or undertake the associated assessment.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), WideBay TAFE must meet the "Standards for Registered Training Organisations" set out in the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
