It includes the skills learners need to productively engage in basic learning processes.

91420NSW Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English - Employment [PDF 43kb dated 19 August 2008] - Advanced Course for English Language - The Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English – Employment is an advanced course which develops the skills for learning to participate in a range of vocational contexts.
Learners can choose from two specialisations:

Workplace Communication Specialisation.

This program develops your skills to satisfy your basic everyday transactional needs.

91423NSW Certificate III in Spoken and Written English [PDF 87kb dated 20 August 2008] - The Certificate III in Spoken and Written English is predominantly for people who speak a language other than English. It is an individualised educational program for those people who want to improve their Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing English skills. It provides a learning pathway for people who want to continue studying but do not have the necessary English language skills.
The purpose of this course is to assist adult learners of non-English speaking backgrounds to develop the language and literacy skills required to undertake further education and training, seek and maintain employment, and participate in the community.
